The location is TBD in the Fort Lauderdale area.
The only way to be added to the invite list is to fill out the form on this site by August 17th and submit your video. Then watch your email for the information on the time and location of the surprise party.
The deadline for submitting your video greeting is August 17th, 2025. We need to have time to edit all of the submssions into one video.

Here are some answers to questions you may have about Marty's 60th brithday celebration.
What is the format of the video?
Please submit a landscape orientation (side to side, NOT up and down) MP4 or MOV file. The format from your phone is fine. You can also capture it with a web camera on your computer. PLEASE record phone videos in landscape (sideways) format NOT portrait (up and down). The videos are going to be edited together to play on a TV screen, not a phone.
Why do you need to know my year of birth or what year I met Marty?
If you're related to him, we need to know what year you were born so we can put relatives in the order they showed up in life. (If you're older than he is, you'll be first and the videos will be in order by your age.) If you aren't related to him, we're asking what year you met him so we can put your greeting in the timeline of his life.
Why do you want me to list my role?
For some of the submissions, we want to know what capacity in which you were working when you met him so we can group videos correctly. For example, if you were a judge and he practiced in front of you, that's different from being a co-worker or lawyer in the same office. Since the person editing the videos together doesn't necessarily know you, more information makes it easier for us to do a good job!
When and where is the party?
The party is a SURPRISE, so please do not talk to Marty about this. We are planning for the party to be on September 12, 2025 at 6:30 pm. We have a location planned. However, it may be moved if we get a big response from people who are able to attend. If you want to attend, please answer YES on the form when asked if you want to be added to the invite list. Then make sure you watch your email for information.

The party is a SURPRISE, so please do not talk to Marty about this. If you have questions, please use the contact form to submit them.
Why do I have to record my video in landscape format?
PLEASE record phone videos in landscape (sideways) format NOT portrait (up and down). The videos are going to be edited together to play on a TV screen, not a phone. Your video will look skinny (and not very nice) when mixed with the landscape videos. PLEASE DO NOT RECORD A PORTRAIT ORIENTATION VIDEO!!!
When is the deadline to submit my greeting?
The deadline for submission is August 17th to give us plenty of time to edit the videos together into a montage of well wishes. We also need to get a final RSVP for attendees by then so that we can change the venue fi needed.
What should I say in the video and how long should it be?
The video should be very short and sweet. "Happy Birthday, [whatever you call Marty]" or "Hey [whatevr you call Marty], Happy 60th Birthday!" - plus one more sentence (two to three, max). The greeting should be 5-10 seconds (15 second if you have something REALLY good to say).
What are my options for submitting a video if I'm not tech savvy?
If you are not tech savvy, try to get someone else to help you with the video and upload (preferred method). If you can't get help with the upload process and you're stuck, Gina is holding various Zoom sessions and your video will be captured for you. After you register, there will be an option to pick one of the scheduled sessions if you prefer the Zoom recording option.
Why the categories of people?
We are trying to put the videos in order so the people in the videos are in the order of Marty's life timeline. We decided that the easiest way would be to group people by phase of his life.
Can I get on the party invite list without submitting a video?
NOPE! Filling out the form on this site and submitting a video is the only way for you to get on the invite list. If you care enough about Marty to attend his birthday party, then you care enough to send 10 second video.
